Gentle Sunday

a mix of aspirational and practical wishlist (feat. blush pink)

Gentlesunday Collage

There's a practical wishlist and there's an aspiration one, and it's fun to make it into a collage like this. After all, what’s the point of online window shopping if not to mix and match them into a moodboard of wants?

As usual, I always heavily drawn to blush pinks and rose golds, it's just work perfectly with my complexion. Maybe next time I’ll push myself to explore more color. How about this kind of post every month? I’m not sure if I can keep up, but let’s see. (As usual, as usual.)

Van Cleef & Arpels between the fingers ring in rose gold finish

I don't know if anyone reading this can casually buy Van Cleef & Arpels , but if there's any, I know you won't buy it via website links, so I'll link the article instead. The Van Cleef & Arpels' Between the Fingers Ring has been in my mind for a while, and it's become a little challenge for me to find a cheaper version of it; be it from real gold or not.

The one I love is of course the rose gold one, with clean lines and modern structures. If you know which local brand (Indonesian, or maybe South East Asia) sell these kind of rings, tell me more!

Michael Kors Laila medium satchel in blush pink

Michael Kors isn't a trendy brand anymore, at least from what I observe. They were, maybe twenty years ago, but the brands' diluted range has eaten itself from the inside. It's no longer mark of luxury and it becomes a "Mom's brand" at best.

Even in my country, younger generations wear Coach and Kate Spade, or Korean brands like Marge Sherwood and Stand Oil, and the ones who wear Michael Kors are 30-something women. I'm a 30-something woman though. So I'm their perfect target market and that's why this bag looks cute.

Laila Satchel has been on their lineup since spring, with new additions and finishes slowly added over time. My favorite is still the original Laila Satchel in medium. I especially love their taupe and blush-pink variants. Michael Kors does powdered pinks better than most brands, I think. The size is perfect for carrying a laptop, and the price range is far friendlier than, say, Coach.

Sadly, the structure feels too formal for my workplace, and it looks out of place to wear with my wardrobe. A tote-style workbag fits me better so let this one stay as an aspirational want.

Michael Kors Fulton in vanilla signature canvas

Still continuing my Michael Kors fascination, part two. I don’t usually like their designs, whether boutique or outlet. Most of them feel too strong and urban for my style, and the monogram isn’t particularly stylish; it borders on dull.

But once in a while, the brand gets it right, or I found one that I like so much and too much, like my daily bag from the outlet line (I'll review it sometime). Some silhouettes just work with its monogram style, like the Michael Kors Fulton flats, which balance polish and comfort effortlessly.

I asked people on Threads for their most recommended flats, and many mentioned the Michael Kors Fulton. Given the price point and how easy it is to find, I might get a pair next year, unless another shoe steals my attention. The black version actually caught my eye, but I included the vanilla signature here since it fits my overall moodboard better. I love their vanilla color too, it's just perfect.

Kami Oria multiways bag in blush pink

Yet another blush-pink bag. Kami is an Indonesian brand I’ve been watching for recently. When the Goyard Mini Anjou and its Christy Ng counterpart trend exploded, I found another version of the mini tote, this Oria bag from Kami.

What makes this bag unique is its versatility. It can change shapes depending on how you style it. Aside from being a mini tote, it can transform into a bucket-style top handle or a silhouette reminiscent of the Hermès Picotin. It’s a beautiful bag made from vegan leather, offered at a very reasonable price point, and comes in many color options.

I almost bought this bag, but I realized the top-handle style doesn’t suit my current wardrobe. It feels better matched with a more feminine, ladylike look, preferably without a hijab. I’m still not sure if I truly want it or if it’s just a fleeting wishlist item, but it doesn’t hurt to include it in this month’s collage.

BLP Baby Blush

Since it's the only beauty item, I put this post in fashion category still. A realistic wishlist as I hit my blush pan recently (yay!) I have three blush-ons and three of them are Wardah Colorfit cream blush, so I'm thinking for a little variations.

This blush stick has only two versatile colors, one in pink and one in coral, and as a neutral tone girl I can see myself using both daily. My shopping budget is already through the roof (I used some to go to my hometown yesterday lol) so this will stay in my wishlist for now. I still have two remaining blush-ons so everything's okay.

Geulis Piper Shirt Cross Stitch

bought my first Geulis piece last month and instantly loved it, though the color wasn’t really my taste. It looked different from the photo on their shop. Still, I really liked the cut and material, so I’m thinking of getting another one, this time a printed shirt. Hopefully, the color will match the real thing this time.

From their latest drop, the Piper shirt seems to be one of their most popular pieces, coming in lots of colors and patterns. The cross-stitch motif is quite large and has a soft color palette; my favorite, I must say. But since the pattern is bolder than what I usually wear (I tend to go for smaller, evenly spaced prints), I’m still undecided. I’ll give it a month or two to think about it.

Kate Spade Charming Cocktail Book bag charm

The last item on this wishlist is an aspirational one. It’s a small, novelty piece that costs about the same as a bag (lol). Still, it’s adorable and has that whimsical charm without being tacky. I’ve seen a lot of chartreuse in recent fall/winter drops, and I think blush and chartreuse make such a lovely combo.

Since it’s quite pricey, I won’t be buying it (obviously). But it did spark my interest in exploring bag charms more. I actually ended up getting one from Merche recently. Bag charms open up so many possibilities. You can DIY them and mix them in so many ways, so I’ll be exploring that slowly!
